correct! The British people who happen to pay taxes pay for all social services, education,armed forces health care, governments, civil service  etc etc.

As I said it depends on where the cut off point is  and the admin costs incurred. There is a good reason why the payments were made universal in the first place and it's not because the Labour Government wanted to be generous to wealthy pensioners

Oh look, another out of touch old man specialising in demonising our youth.  Do you realise how disrespectful and sad your comment is? The young people of this country have far more to offer than just partying and festival tickets. They have been given a rough time over the last several years and are actually acting on one of the few things that politicians say is true - that their vote matters.

Is that any different to anyone voting for Brexit being told it was because they were old, thick, racist or any combination of those? Isn't that disrespectful to the people that have spent years paying into the system?

It's absolutely no different, I never said it was. I know many people who voted for Brexit for reasons that had nothing to do with the ones you've listed. I am just pointing out 'The Dude's' clear lack of respect for young people.
