         My last chance before giving up on tomatoes has been a success, this is one of the smaller "beef" tomatoes (the bigger ones are still ripening... )

That looks a thing of beauty, my car boot greenhouse thing disintergrated during the summer so mine are long gone, miss a real greenhouse bet those toms are lovely

I just grew them outside on the deck in mega grow bags, there's pounds of fruit still waiting to be harvested.  Cherries, plums, "beefs", golden, standard and San Marzano (which have been the most disappointing).  It's probably been down to the weather rather than green fingers though

I’m having to give away my tomatoes this year. 40 odd plants produces a lot of fruit.

Getting a bowl of tomatos like this twice a day.

Have been for the past two weeks.

Also my hands have been stained bright yellow from all the picking.

I’m only picking those that are perfectly ripe. Nice and red and just fall off, just before they split. Chucking away anything that isn’t perfect.

Not having this many plants next year. I had no idea they would do so well.

Don’t chuck them away make a vat of tom sauce for all those pizzas the flavour will beat any tin.

I pulled my 18 plants weeks ago. Too many fudgeing tomatoes!! All I've got left in the ground now is watermelons, squash and pumpkins.

Must be a bumper harvest this year.

Looking forward to getting some chestnuts probably next month.

Some Heirlooms, and no hybrids.

Not going to bother with spuds this year. Last years crop wasn't that great (mind I was a little slack with the watering!) Didn't really have much motivation last year as was late to it, so everything was bought from a garden center already grown on. It all ended up tasting like supermarket veg - BLAND!

We've planted our spuds last weekend. Probably do the same crops as last year, spuds, tomatoes, runner beans ,brocolli, courgette, peas and carrots. Will hopefully try onions again but last year they barely grew.

Need to get the water butt hooked up to the greenhouse and summerhouse aswell, but suspect that it'll be too late to be useful.
