We have always gone traditional

No starter, Turkey, Christmas Pudding

Last year all of us concluded that Turkey is okay, but none of us think it is that special, even when we have splashed out and got a Norfolk Bronze.

Last year we did a ham aswell, and consensus was that the ham and pigs in blankets were better than the turkey.

So this year thinking of trying something different.  We will stick to the ham and pigs in blankets but am considering one of the 3 or 4 bird roasts or maybe a really good quality chicken.

There will only be 5-6 of us so can't go big (like a goose) besides, don't want to spend silly money.  So appreciate any ideas - stick to traditional but something more juicy and tasty than turkey.

Cheers,

Nigel

I go for the traditional setup apart from the bird, neither of us particularly like turkey so we normally do a sage/rosemary/thyme chicken instead.

Oh, and I serve the lot in a giant Yorkshire pudding.

Last year my mate posted on Facebook how sad it was to post pictures of their Christmas dinner on Facebook.

Guess how many pictures of Christmas dinners were posted in the comments.
