Fallout 76

Yeah, now I've had a few sessions playing I'd be pretty annoyed paying anything over £20 for this. It feels more like a Fallout 4 DLC than a brand new game. Fingers crossed they'll turn this into a gem. I am really enjoying myself though as there's still tons to explore and do.

I'm only at level 9 and I've also caught Swamp Itch from sleeping on a bed that was on a floor!

Do you know what? I'm still really enjoying this and I'm playing solo. I do understand some of the hate it's been getting but not all of it, if you like Fallout then you'll have fun here. If you get this for under £20 like I did (although it's gone up to £19.99 now) then you've got yourself a whole lot of fun. I've hit level 20 now and there's still so much to do and explore. I've not been following the main story as much as I should be as I've been too busy sticking my nose in where it's not wanted by Super Mutants.

Only bug that has affected me was when using C.A.M.P stuff that I'd already crafted had vanished when I relocated my base. Not a big bother but it has left me with an aluminium shortage which makes repairs a bit tricky. But I learned today you can tag materials you need in component view, so when you are off exploring they are highlighted!

Glad they are fixing the C.A.M.P bug and incresing the stash size to 600 is going to be really helpful as it's nearly full.


EDIT: Well they're upsetting their fans more. Game has been offline for 4 hours now for patching and not even a word of when it will finish or an eta!

Very disappointed in this. The lack of NPCs means you have to pick up quests from recordings and terminals. There's no human interaction. Additionally, all the notes and recordings pertain to people that are long dead. I found no compelling reason to keep playing. Wish I'd never pre-ordered this.

The only way I can see this being saved is if the modding community create a complete overhaul with NPCs to give it some life. I don't see Bethesda doing this.

Well the new patch caused me and lots of others a world of pain with constant crashes to desktop when trying to join a game. Manage to fix the issue by creating a new character then logging back in to use my main one. They've really messed this up in the most spectacular way. Even with the over 5 hours maintenance they did not say how long roughly it would be down for or if there was a problem. Just a message to say it would be "back shortly". 5 hours shortly? They just did not engage with community which just added more fuel to the fire. I just can't believe how badly Bethesda have failed their fanbase with this game.

Despite all of the above I'm still having fun even with it! I just got my backside handed to me by my first encounter with a deathclaw!

That beats my £18.69! It's worth it at that price. It's not as bad as people say. I've had a ton of fun with it although I'm on PoE for the next few weeks I will come back to it.
