Sparkyuiop, phone Toshiba up and they will send you the card with all you need free of charge. You have to send it back afterwards but I am sure you could find a reader to copy the files if necessary.

My ten year old Toshiba Regza 37A3030D developed this issue on Sunday morning.  I almost drove myself round the twist trying to access the factory reset option from the Menu, mistakenly and ignorantly believing that would clear the fault - only for as quick as the Menu appeared on my screen in a split second it had gone again.  I'm glad I've stumbled on this forum and although it's too late today to phone Toshiba, I'll ring them tomorrow, armed with the new found knowledge that my tv hasn't been the only one to have gone like this.  Albeit a few years after this thread was initially started.

Well, I phoned them and the chap at Toshiba was very helpful, saying he'll post out the thingy with the instructions today.  Yipp-ee!

Whoo-hoo!  The thingy-thing turned up in today's post.  Popped it in the back of the tv, did what the instructions said and YES!  TV's up and running again!  Thanks to all the posters on this thread - and of course to Toshiba, for their super quick service!

Hi CaroleGG,
What contact number did you use? Was it the 01932841600 number or did you have a different one?
Thanks in advance

Yes, that's the one.   Is your tv doing the same thing?

Exactly the same, it's old and I thought that it might be chucking out time as it's only in a bedroom. But now I'll give them a try.
Thanks
Update: I'm assuming that they're not open on Saturday's as nobody's answering.
I'll try again Monday.
