I used to use a Popcorn Hour A-110 as my media player with another TV. It blew and ended up using the PS3 instead. Never quite got used to it / liked it too for some reason. Ended up buying a Mede8er media player and I feel it has a better picture. Could all be in the eyes, but I know what you mean.

Hello all, apologies if this has already been covered somewhere.

Occasionally when viewing my display will judder heavily. Its difficult to describe, but Its like theres been a slight pause and the display fast forwards for a split second to catch up with itself. Its a bit like Max Headroom. (for those who remember!)

It happens completely randomly, it can be in slow moving scenes, sport, chat shows - anything really. Theres no pattern to it, the only consistent factor is that it seems to be when viewing through my Sky HD box, and maybe just the HD channels. Im currently scrutinising my Blu Rays but am yet to notice it.

Ive experienced judder in the past on older Samsung and Sony sets that I have owned. And then it was usually just the football or tennis ball when watching sport, but this is far more noticeable and affects all on screen action. I find it strange (and annoying) to be honest as this is supposed to be a flagship set. I thought I would ask about it on here first before contacting Sony and getting the usual fob offs.

Maybe there are some setting I could fiddle with?

Also, whats the issue people are having with the 3D glasses.

Has anybody else got these 3d filters for their glasses from Sony?
Just received mine but they don't fit the glasses. Anyone else have this issue. They are far to small to sit in the front of the frame. Help :-(

Sounds like its one of your settings if it doesnt show on blus playing.
Go into your settings and change the one that refers to a preference being given to either video or text. Put in onto text.
Cant remember exactly where it is the menus but its in there somewhere (dont have access to my Tv at present). It is covered earlier on in the early posts of this thread so you can prob search for it.
This should fix the issue.

I have just ordered a set of the Antec bias lights from Amazon and they should be here next week.  I have just been looking at the back of my 46HX853 and I am not sure where the best place is to stick these things (no funny comments please ), for the best effect.

Just wanted to know, for those with these lights where have you stuck yours on, did you use all of the strip or cut them down?

Any pics would be most welcome

Thanks very much!

I've had my 40" for a few weeks now. Quite nice sharpness and details, but the colour quality (the main reason for buying it) is disappointing.

Sunny scenes don't appear ... sunny, and sometimes gray detail quite suddenly "fills in", becoming large areas of solid black (I assume this is the local dimming going into excess).

I've tried to adjust matters via DVE, but DVE is getting a bit out of date, and the recommened adjustment sequences are not applicable to a modern display.
