Scotland Road Trip

With the US exchange rate being crap, wee choose Scotland this year. First 2 nights booked just outside Glasgow, other than that it's of the cuff once more.
A1 to Scotch Corner then hung a left stopping a coupe of times on route.
Next day we took a short train ride to grand central.
                                                                               

Laughed at this.
                                                                               

On to the cathedral then Necropolis.
                                                                               
                                                                               

Passed by artwork on the walls.
                                                                               

Then into the gallery.
                                                                               

Took the train closer to the Riverside Museum. I had one of these as a kid.
                                                                               

Around the time by big bro had one of these.
                                                                               

Sadly just one crane now stands on the Clyde.

Short walk to another museum.
                                                                               

Just in time for the organ recital. No pressure dude in the white shirt.
                                                                               

Lots to see and no charge anywhere so far.
                                                                               

Finished the day with some cocktails and a burger in hard rock.

Today we headed through the highlands past the Lochs. Stumbled across a steam boat that had just left. So had a brew instead.
                                                                               
                                                                               

One thing we wanted to see was the mirror man. Thought he would be bigger. Looked like T2 after a skin full.
                                                                               

Onwards towards Oban.
                                                                               
                                                                               

Fully booked almost everywhere, so went 5m out to Connel. Lovely view from the room. Head a short walk before the drizzle.
                                                                               
                                                                               
                                                                               
                                                                               

Off to Mull tomorrow.

Another great showcase

We did a similar road trip in June. We stayed in Whitby for 3 nights, then drove to Fife and stayed overnight then on to Pitlochry, then on to Inverness for a couple of days. Stayed in Fort William, did Oban and I also had the Mussels at the harbour, a bargain at £3.95. Then went down to Edinburgh and the Lothians for 5 nights. By the time we got back home in Herts we had done 1750 miles. It was a fantastic trip and we both realised that we had forgot how beautiful our Country is. We will be heading over to America in October, just love it there too.

Got to the distillery, my son likes this one. Long wait for the tour so made a purchase then skipped it.
                                                                               
                                                                               

After a big loop we left Skye the way we came.
