We are just pulling in to rooms as the fancy takes us. From Oban to here the "No" signs are displayed in towns but there are vacancies just outside. Trivago and Google etc have been of no use so far. Keeping our eyes peeled is working so far. If all else fails, it's a night in the car.

Your road trips are one of the AV Forums highlights of the year. Great pictures and commentary as always.

North again to a beach at Achmelvich Bay with a couple of stops.

Beautiful.

Crystal clear sea.

Carried on north after a couple of hours in the sun.

Most of the roads were single track with passing places. Passed a roadside drinking hole, but I wasn't thirsty enough to try it

Onward to Durness, found accommodation in a farm house BnB.

Had a mug of chocolate where @bigjb mentioned.

Cat had no table manners

Then down to the beach. Again, clear sea and white sand.

Walked over the hill and down the dunes to the beach on the other side.

Wasn't looking forward to the climb back but the tide went out just enough.

Up close with some locals.

There's a zip line across a cove, I'll pass.

The only restaurant and bar is a short walk from our BnB, so that's dinner sorted.

The steak pie is nice as is the apple pie.

You are going in the right direction for the weather. We have had torrential rain and thunderstorms for the past two hours.

Hope the weather picks up for you.

Had steak pie yesterday but the apple pie was good. Sirloin not so. Can't fault the Guinness though.

That's the beauty of us having nothing planned or booked.

Going tomorrow to stock up with provisions then check the weather forecast and head in the best direction.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.
