Great adaption of Oscar Wilde's play 'Lady Windermere's Fan'.
I enjoyed the dialogue of the characters and witticisms of that time (1890's).
It seems that this was a time when wit and the art of easy conversation was still cherished and cultivated in English/American society - a lost art, which I think needs to be revived; especially in today's society, where people seem to be yelling at each other increasingly...
Anyways, a real gem!
Pity though, that Oscar Wilde was not treated better by British society for giving us such gems; having been incarcerated for two years in London; where he suffered from hunger, illness and also an injury that later contributed to his death...
At least nowadays gay people do not get arrested anymore in England - and are even celebrated for their coming out in British society. I think Oscar would have appreciated the joke of that irony very much :)
