I loved the line, "All saints have a past, all sinners have a future." The play was extremely well written and the writer conveyed more than just a performance. He conveyed a message that we cannot expect life to be perfect because it is not, and when we put too much emphasis on 'how we think life SHOULD be' we only put ourselves in harms away. We all have unrealistic expectations that we put on ourselves and others. But the fact remains none of us are perfect.
Another profound thought in the movie was when Meg Windermere and Mrs. Erlynne were talking, and Meg wanted to confess to her husband what she had almost done. Mrs. Erlynne made the comment that the things we do are meant for us to carry not others. In reality we have no right to settle our guilty conscience on those we love.
