Good batting by Pakistan. 349 to win England! This World Cup just became interesting.

I'm not convinced that England will chase this down - or get anywhere near 350.

They were in the qualification stage, but were not able to get past that stage. Afghanistan and the WI made it out of that stage. To be fair Ireland are represented by the England captain.

In the format selected for this world cup, where everyone plays each other. You have to limit the number of teams, otherwise it would take over 2 months to complete the tournament. I think the current length is 47 days.

I am not sure, England are playing very well at the moment. Its going to be an interesting game. Roy already gone.

You're probably right alyhough Bairstow has also left the building but I'm still seething about Roy. Got nowhere near the ball, arrogantly reviewing, not quite sure what he was irate about, as plumb an LBW as you'll ever see.

At this rate, England will need 12 RPO in the last ten.

The two bowlers they should be targeting (and milking, Hafeez and Malik, one of those has figures of 5-0-20-1.

Whatever the outcome, this is ridiculously poor from England.

And now the other spinner, Malik, has snared Stokes - caught behind.

Seen this so many times from England. Total cockwombles.

I think one of the Pakistani players (probably Sarfraz) said something to him as he was waiting for the review or walking off.

Stokes gone as well. One more wicket for Pakistan, Ideally Butler and its game over for England. RR is above 8 as well. Next 8 odd overs are crucial for both sides.

At last, some positivity from England as Jos Buttler disdainfully smacks a boundary four.

And a SIX!

And Root hits another one!

Will we be saying 'the Buttler did it' later today?

Joe Root reaches a fifteen ODI hundred.

The game is still very much in the balance but we are nearing the stage of the game where Pakistan were losing their wickets.

100 required from 70-odd balls is looking a lot more healthier.

Knife-edge stuff, a thrilling watch throughout. While England contributed weightily to their own downfall through lacklustre bowling, sloppy fielding and an unambitious approach starting their reply, how could you possibly take anything away from Pakistan who fought and fought hard for this win, thoroughly deserved through their belief and enthusuasm.

Good call!
