Have an order for a BMW 320D M Sport.

I have maxed out my budget to the extent that I have said no more to "It's just another £10 per month".

What I don't have is heated seats.  I have never had leather seats before so I wonder whether heated seats are more important than I imagine.

My reasoning so far:-

When I have sat in heated seats before the experience has always felt a bit weird and I have switched them off.  Also it feels a bit mean fitting heated seats in the front but not in the rear.

Some other thoughts

Never had leather seats before so unsure how much cold is a problem
It would be rare to have passengers in the back
I don't feel the cold that much
But my wife does and likes the idea of heated seats
I live in the south east of England so it doesn't get that cold

The other thing is that I have included folding wing mirrors that I'm not entirely sure about either.

So appreciate your thoughts

1 - Heated seats, yes or no
2 - Would you rate heated seats more or less important than folding mirrors

Cheers,

Nigel

Leather without heated seats isn’t great when the temps drop, I wouldn’t spec leather without & would prioritise them over folding mirrors. Heated steering wheel however just feels a bit odd to me!

Heated seats over folding mirrors, I do miss my folding mirrors but as they are only of use when NOT in the car, they are non essential to me

If I had to pick one it would be heated seats. Its crazy there still not standard on an M Sport 3 series.

You rarely need to fold in your mirrors, the passenger mirror dip is more useful with the folding mirror option.

Any sort of seat has to be heated, leather or nay.  As for whether to go for folding mirrors instead, it depends on whether they have the dipping passenger side mirror function.  My car has 360 degree cameras and can (supposedly) park itself, but I'd get rid of all of those before I got rid of the dipping mirror.

I'll echo most of the above and vote for heated seats if leather.

What does the dipping passenger mirror do?

So what do you guys do about the back seats.  Do you heat them too or let the passengers suffer?

Cheers,

Nigel
