Disagree - as @dejongj mentioned they are very handy for folding in on the move if you hit a tight spot

How wide are your cars!?! I don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to fold my mirrors in on the move (though I have forgotten to unfold the mirrors in our Focus, bloody stupid design being electric folding but not automatic!)

Mine is pretty wide, though when you are exploring Cornwall or other narrow lanes, any car is wide. Useful for a few dicey encounters in the Alps

The question should be how narrow are the roads

Granted that one was a little bit extreme. But for us living just 30 miles outside the centre of London it is a daily occurrence. On the lanes where we live the number of vans and Nissan micro's that are too far over and clip you mirrors on the right whilst the branches clip them on the left is a reality. Then there are at times these HGVs that try and take a short cut. Even on a passing place I do fold my mirrors quickly....

And we downsized actually, but still require it from this;

To a much smaller version;

Indeed, apologies if I haven't picked the exact right model

But, but, but....I drive German, I was under the impression that everyone was just meant to get out of my way! Surely the oiks should embed their “cars” in the hedgerow when they see me travelling towards them!

I have to admit that Cornwall lanes are not exactly my favourite place to drive (was there this summer in the A5, 1854 wide - 2020 at the mirrors).

Are you still near the zoo JP?

Definitely heated seats. I had them on my 2 series and don't have on my new 1 series and definitely a big miss, they are perfect for them cold mornings.
