Sorry to bring this old thread back up but I have this TV and I have had the firmware updated so the PS3 is hooked up to HDMI. I got a new premium pack off the 360 with HDMI on today and also got one off them HDMI spliters. I was wondering if anyone know any good settings for this tv? I am not complaining about this tv its amazing for the price I bought it for but just wondering if there is any good settings for it.

yeah I got one of these second hand of my brother in law today and was wondering if anyone could post their picture settings too, I'm sure it can be improved but I'm not really sure how to go about it... any ideas anyone? thanks!

I think this is the one I have but if not I apologise for posting here. Bought it from wollworths 4 months or so ago. It is the technosonic 32" LCD3201. I recently got the Thomson DTI 6300-16 top up TV box and was having problems setting up the remote to control this TV. It is similar to the SKY remote but the codes on the leaflet did not work. The sky codes were also no use. I have found a code that does work well though and wanted to share it with anyone else that has this annoyance. The code is 0655. I hope this will save others the grief!!!

Hello Guys,

Ive recently had V  installed and just got a HD ready tv (technosonic 32")

Through my Xbox I can happily set it at 1080i and displays lovely, really impressed with it.

When it comes to the V  box, I can set it at 780 wide, but not 1080 or 1080 wide, it just displays horribly. Please see photos for what I mean.

I would really like to be able to try 1080 wide as on the Xbox it made a hugh difference from 780.

Anyone got any ideas for what to do?

I have the same problem as you mentioned,Leave the sky hd box set at auto and when you change to hd,Switch sky box off from remote,Wait a few seconds then switch it back on and should auto select itself.

We purchased a Technosonic LCD 3251 just over 12 months ago from Tesco.  It is black with silver edge and base.  Not sure where it was made or how to find that out but it developed a problem recently where its power light is on but the tv wont come on when I press the on/off switch. Any tips would be helpful though I have tried holding the on/off button a bit longer than normal and that hasnt worked.  Tesco have told me to contact Technosonic or otherwise get it repaired myself as it is out of warranty. Really liked this tv so will want to get it working again if at all possible but not if it is going to cost  a fortune.  Thanks for listening and hope someone can help....

i got one of these tv's well over a year ago, and have used it as a pc monitoe and a nice hd set for my xbox 360.  My girlfriend bought me a PS3 this week end and try as i might the thing won't work in hdmi mode, i get the menu , but it goes black when i launch a game.

I have read on these forums that i need a firmware update.  Is it possablie to do this myself  or do i need an engineer.  I am quite good with fixing problems and don't see any problems doing it myself, but if i need an engineer how much should i expect to pay.  I'm in the Birmingham area and don't have any transport so id prefur it done on site if poss.

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I'm in the same situation as the poster above. I've just bought a PS3, indending to hook it up to my Woolies Technosonic (Thomson). Obviously I'm getting the same problem, so I also need a firmware upgrade.

Is there a way to do this myself? If not, bearing in mind my set is out of warranty, how would I go about getting it done?

Hopefully someone can help. We recently acquired a Technosonic LCD3201 TV following the death of a relative who originally bought it. It works fine but switches itself on during the middle of the night. We only have the "Quick start guide", not the whole user manual, and can't find how to stop this.

I have searched the on-screen menus and can't find anything.

Does anyone know if this is a feature that can be controlled or is it a fault?
