I started with a CE5 kit after the cigalike types. The only thing about them is they are quite old now and things have improved. The ones that look like normal cigs aren't very powerful, battery life is poor ad you have to buy or refill the cartridges which again don't hold much juice.

The Unicoil is basically a small atomiser head that fits into the tank. The head has been taken apart and had a microcoil installed. This is some wire that is wrapped tightly round a 2mm object like a drill bit leaving the whole in the middle. Through that it's wicked with cotton wool. Because of the quality of the coil it is quite sturdy and when it has been used and starts to underperform you can pull out the cotton and burn the gunk off the coil, then insert a new bit. They supply a ball which should last a good few weeks or months depending on how much it gunks. Some juices gunk more than others, especially sweet ones like custard. Fruit and menthol flavours gunk less so a wick could last a long time, weeks maybe. I vape custard and a lot so I rewick my device daily, it's just become routine.

Budget wise I would recommend going with the more expensive setup over a cheap kit. Like I said I have spent loads getting to where I am and wish I had a decent kit to start that would have lasted a long while. ProVapes have the iStick mini which is tiny for £19.99. It is the same as the full sized version feature wise but has a smaller battery. The Nautilus mini is also the same price on ProVape. I would maybe also recommend the Naturevape mini tank which uses the same kind of homemade coil as the Unicoil. You just replace the wick like I described. These have very good vapour and flavour production. Take a look at the review at the top.

Other than the size of the tank, is there any difference between the nautilus and the nautilus mini? How long do the coils and wicks last in those? Thinking of combining it with the iStick.
Also, I've been looking at the itaste MVP v2. Is it any good? What is the iclear 16 like? Is it good or is it worth getting a different clearomizer?

Hi mate. I have the nautilus mini ATM coupled with an MPV v2. The nautilus mini is brilliant and I believe there's no difference between the tanks if they both use BVC coils

I have an MVP as a backup. It's good. The istick does the same, it's just smaller. Ignore the iclear 16 it's old now. If it's included with an MVP most vendors will swap it for something better.

Right, I think I'm going to settle for the iStick, but can't quite decide which clearomizer I want to use. I'm torn between the 2 nautilus versions or the 2 aerotank versions. No real difference in price, so any recommendations? Any pros/cons of one over the other?

I would definitely go for the nautilus mini, I read a lot of reviews about it before I got one and it is awesome.

The nautilus mini is the one I've ended up sticking with after 3 years of trying all sorts of products. It's been the only one that's never leaked on me, produced consistent flavour and vapour and is also a nice size for being out and about.

Thanks guys. So you would both go for the mini over the full size version?
Also, where do you normally buy your stuff from? I've only looked at 2 or 3 stores, but VaperCaper seems to be the cheapest so far. Any recommendations of stores to use?
