Something that has seemed to go under the radar is the fact that it wasn't just Muslims protesting about Parkfield Community School, Christians were as well.

Parents of Muslim and Christian faith have held demonstrations outside Parkfield Community School in the Alum Rock area of the city, where children are taught about same sex couples through story books.

Protesters have claimed the lessons, part of the "No Outsiders" programme, contradict their faith.

They argued assistant head Andrew Moffat, who started the lessons and is gay, has been "promoting personal beliefs and convictions about universal acceptability of homosexuality as being normal and morally correct".- BBC News
In addition to local Christian parents protesting, Christian Voice also demonstrated and gave speeches and interviews outside the school. Stephen Green, the National Director and spokesperson for The Christian Voice, who also campaigns to decriminalise marital rape was at the Parkfield Community School demonstration.

Then add things like child abuse in religious organisations.

An utterly hateful bastard, who the media still give a platform.

I disagee. It is good to hear a Christian voice complaining about this issue. Christians and Muslims believe that same sex relationships are contrary to God's teachings and to teach that they should have equal standing with normal opposite sex relationships is wrong.

Move to Syria or respect British law.

Pretty sure the Bible records God having more to say about worshipping other gods than he does about homosexuality. If teaching kids RE which covers non Christian religions is ok, I don't think anyone is bursting into flames to hear about a little guy on guy action.

This is simply about adults feeling uncomfortable due to existing cultural norms.God doesn't give a ****.

Funny how there are so many gods, enough so everyone gets a god that is just what they want.

SteakAndCake Publish time 26-11-2019 00:27:40

There have been at least 50,000 gods that we know about in recorded history.

You gotta have some faith to take a 1/50,000 chance you picked the right one.

My thinking is this.On the tiny remotest chance that there is a god and assuming we go somewhere after death, then obviously, if you picked the right god, you're gonna be ok.But look at those odds? Not good.

So I reckon, it's better to rock up as an atheist with no belief in any god.Sure, you don't believe in the right one, but at least you're not actively worshipping a false god. It's like dying, finding out heaven is Israel, but turning up as Switzerland and not Palestine.

I'd hope the god would respect me for saying, "I didn't know", rather than, "oh I just went with the one everybody else worshiped in the time and place of my birth".   But then, god turned some woman into salt for looking backward, and killed everybody on Earth with a flood, so god's a grade A dick, so who knows.

OMG please tell me that you are simply attempting to troll. Nothing wrong with it at all. We are all human beings, Gods creatures if you like.We are his reflection if you like, so saying that is wrong is to me saying that your God is wrong .

Anyway scrap all that God nonsense, it's just not wrong.

If you put your faith in one of many 'gods', that's up to you. For that faith to make you so bigoted is also up to you.
Who are you to say that same sex relationships aren't the equal?
